Women Who Move Us Webinar Features Female Leaders in Honor of Hispanic Heritage Month
The 82 Alliance, a not-for-profit mobility think tank reimagining how people move throughout our communities, hosted the first installment of its 'Women Who Move Us' Webinar Series, an initiative of The 82 Alliance's Women in Transportation Committee.
Women Who Move Us is a dynamic leadership series featuring accomplished female executives from across the mobility and transportation industry.
Our September webinar was held in honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, celebrating the contributions, leadership, and experiences of Hispanic and Latino professionals in the mobility and transportation industry.
In this one-hour session, we explored the pivotal moments, bold decisions, challenges, and defining experiences that shaped their journeys to leadership. Through candid conversation and live Q&A, these leaders shared not just what they do but how they lead, what they’ve learned, and how they’ve navigated growth in a traditionally underrepresented field.
These conversations are designed to inspire, inform, and empower, offering real-world perspective and meaningful connection for women at every stage of their careers.
The webinar featured Alva Carrasco, Transit-Southwest Facilities Design Leader at HDR, Inc., and Monica Tellez-Fowler, President & CEO, Central Ohio Transit Agency. Roseline Bougher, President & CEO of A.D. Marble, moderated the conversation. The conversation focused on each female leader's career path and how their upbringing and heritage shaped who they are today. Watch the full recording here.
The 'Women Who Move Us' Webinar will return in 2027! Join us in-person at The 82 Alliance Conference in Austin, TX on November 8-9, 2026 for an in-person 'Women Who Move Us' Panel as part of a full program of mobility professionals. Learn more and register here.
