The 82 Alliance, a not-for-profit mobility think tank reimagining how people move throughout our communities, hosted the first installment of its 'Women Who Move Us' Webinar Series, an initiative of The 82 Alliance's Women in Transportation Committee.
Women Who Move Us is a dynamic leadership series featuring accomplished female executives from across the mobility and transportation industry.
In each one-hour session, we explore the pivotal moments, bold decisions, challenges, and defining experiences that shaped their journeys to leadership. Through candid conversation and live Q&A, these leaders share not just what they do but how they lead, what they’ve learned, and how they’ve navigated growth in a traditionally underrepresented field.
These conversations are designed to inspire, inform, and empower, offering real-world perspective and meaningful connection for women at every stage of their careers.
The first webinar of the series featured Jennifer Toole, Founder and President of Toole Design, a consulting firm with 20 offices throughout the U.S. and a staff of over 350 transportation and urban planners, engineers, landscape architects and data scientists.
82 Alliance Board Member, and CEO of DS&MG, Lois DeMeester, moderated a conversation with Jennifer about starting and growing Toole Design, establishing credibility and authority as a woman in the transportation industry, and current trends shaping national thinking about pedestrian and bicycle planning. If you missed the webinar and want to hear Jennifer's insights as a female leader in the transportation industry, the recording is available here.
The next webinar is scheduled for May 19 at 2 pm EDT, and features Lora Byala, President and CEO, Foursquare ITP; and Alanna McKeeman, Vice-President of People and Culture, Foursquare ITP. Register Here.
